Well I don’t know about you but 2022 was a year that healed my soul for the better, it was a rest year, a year in which I really took the time to not think about work, or the life that keeps us stuck on the merry go round, but a real chance to stop and think about what life meant not only for the year, but going forward, into this bright and bubbly future that I keep harping on about.

Like many others as I am sure the past few years have been harsh to the Soul, so 2022 was the year of relaxing and breathing, acceptance of what was, and what will be. Yes this was the year that was going to change all of the years that came after it (we can remain hopeful at this point as we are only 6 days in!) I am still not sure how, and have come to terms with that being okay, too much planning can lead to failure, as a lesson that was taught early in 2022. Going with flow allows for opportunities to present themselves, and also allows for us to enjoy ourselves as part of the journey.

We speak about reflection often (possibly not as much as at the beginning of a year) but do we really take the steps needed to get us to where we need to be, before someone is shouting in our ears asking us to complete a task for them. Well I can safely say that 2022 was my “ No I am not bloody doing it anymore year” it was year in which I finally understood, what it meant to not care about what others thought, or whether everyone liked me, in fact it was quite a relief which I found out I wasn’t as liked as what I once believed (if there is ever a quicker way to have your soul humbled, make someone tell you or show you they never liked you in the first place) it provided a sense of freedom, from having to pretend to be someone that you’re was not (imagine that).

But all fun and jokes aside (well maybe not all, we will see how it goes) 2022 was the first year we as a collective was allowed out for the whole year, without the government placing curfews on our time, or telling us who we could and could not visit, it provided an opportunity for us to not only connect with ourselves, but to connect with others in a safe manner, without the fear of them pass on the “lurgies” and guessing if the person walking towards you was you friend or not but had no idea because a mask was covering half their damn face!!
In all honesty 2022 was my lazy year, it was the year in which achievement wise, I took a backseat and went outside to play with my friends and family, it was the year in which I decided that regardless of how harsh the previous years had been, I was going to make the most of 1.being alive and 2.being able to enjoy myself without ol’ boris telling us to be in by 10pm or risk being fined.
So now we arrive in 2023, and after relaxing for a whole year, and feeling refreshed ( I think I might just do it all again this year to be fair!! Joking I wished!!) It is time to get back to business, (whatever that means) with the gentle reminder that I share at the start of every year.
The start of a year can be used to set goals, but what is equally important is checking in with yourself, if we are nor feeling the greatest, then setting a goal is pointless, we are allowed to give ourselves the time and space needed to really connect with and discover who we are, to be playful, and not take life so serious all the time. The point of life is all about connection with who we are ( this in my opinion), as once we are fully aware of this, connection with others who are also aligned on your path comes with ease.

I am wishing you all much happiness and prosperity during 2023, do the things that set your Soul alive, love everyone who comes on your path as they are all facing battles we are not aware of…. But most importantly, be easy with yourself on this journey called life. Release the need to control everything, and allow 2023 to guide you.
Love, Light and Blessings
